100% cotton - hand tie dyed - dry clean only
This cotton tee is a take on the traditional leheriya dye technique in which artisans in India's Rajasthan region twist and tie fabric at intervals to create wave like forms. The word leheriya itself comes from the Hindi word leher meaning waves. Back in the day this technique was used to color the silk turbans of Rajput kings, but we've changed it up a little and made a comfortable cotton tee.
This piece is part of a collaborative collection made in Jaipur, India by Anupama Bose and her team of talented artisans. The collection incorporates traditional Rajasthani craft techniques into clothing for the global women with an appreciation for fine, handmade textiles.
